In 2010, Samsung came out with four new blu-ray players and the BD-C6500 disc player is a fourth of the products that made it into the ever evolving market when it came out early that year. Many notable improvements especially on the features have been made on the Samsung BD-C6500 compared to the earlier manufactured model which is the BD-P3600. The image quality of the Blu-ray disc player while on DVD and internet streaming such as on Netflix, YouTube and Pandora are simply superb and astonishing.

The enhanced Blu-ray playback function and it supports 1080p/24 video resolution without requiring any conversion of file formats. The Samsung BD-C6500 is also able to convert DVDs up to 1080p to improve video quality when displayed on a Full HDTV.
The design of the Samsung BD-C6500 is fitted with a HDMI output, digital and optical audio output, and Ethernet port to connect the internet, component and composite video outs and a complete set of 7.1 channel analog outputs. Samsung also provides a 1GB built-in memory space that is suitable to be used while accessing the Blu-ray for interactive use. The special feature of the Samsung BD-C6500 is it frees up memory just like a computer’s operating system, by using thumb drive to create the extra space the device needed.
The BD-C6500 is said to be the best looking Blu-ray disc player that Samsung has ever produced. The glossy black on metal theme certainly made the device look tougher than the previous models. The illuminated buttons that are touch-sensitive on the right side of the front panel adds to the futuristic feel to the Samsung BD-C65000. Apart from the design, the user interface of the device is also something consumers may rave about. Samsung has redesigned the entire user interface with large glossy icons on top of a wood-grain background. The new user interface design makes service-hopping a joy for consumers.
