The Panasonic Viera TC-L37D2 is one of the Viera D2 LCD HDTVs that offer energy saving efficiency technology although being able to give consumers the highest level of brightness on its LED-LCD display panel. The energy saving system used is by placing LED backlights on the panel’s top and bottom area that will provide light at the centre of the 37 inch screen. Without applying the LED light on the entire surface, the display panel is much thinner and the energy level saved will be higher.

This smaller TC-L37D2 is great for consumers who do not have much space in their living room to put a 50 inch LED-LCD. This LCD model feature a much simpler TV Panasonic has designed to avoid the boxy look that the brand is known for. The bottom front panel of the LCD TV is fitted with a series of indicator lights and is clean from on board buttons which are placed at the side of the panel to make it less visible from the eyes. The opposite side of the panel is fitted with a small selection of ports that includes a composite AV input, one of the three HDMI port as well as a SD/SDHC card slot.

Although the LCD TV is fitted with the SD/SDHC card slot, the slot only supports JPEG playbacks and consumers will not be able to listen to music, watch movies or videos when plugging in the external SD card.

Consumers will be able to operate digital cameras, HD decoders, portable and standard Blu-ray disc players, home theatre system as well as a network camera that is connected to a LAN cable.
