The LG BD570 Blu-ray disc player from LG is produced after the huge success of the BD390 model. As the early manufacturers of Blu-ray disc players, the company has come a long way in honing its ability to produce top of the line electronic devices including the BD570 KDL55HX800 Blu-ray disc player. When the item is put in the market, many were sceptical at how much improvement LG can make after the ground breaking design and feature of the LG BD570 previous predecessor proved to be a hit with consumers.

What made the LG BD570 stand out in the market is that its disc spinner is believed to exceed most of the dedicated network media streamers and enable consumers to expand their streaming services at much lower price at less than $250 for a unit. The LG BD570 has a cool and attractive design that offers more futuristic look with its slim body and glossy front panel. However, the disc tray of the device is behind the flip down front panel that also placed the manual buttons and a USB port and making the Blu-ray player look less slick when a disc is being load up or when using a USB flash drive to watch movies.
The Blu-day disc player by LG stands at only 1.7 inch tall that will not consume too much space when fitted in with the home theatre system. The company has also redesign the remote control to make the control similar to the LG BD570 disc player which has the same glossy and sleek look. However, the new design accumulates finger prints easily and consumers may have to clean it up often to get rid of the smudges. Although the buttons on the remote control feels a little bit cluttered, the remote control of the LG BD570 is not a problem to configure and does include a few buttons to enable consumers to control the TV.

Since LG has given their BD570 a complete redesign compared to the previous BD390, the overhaul of the former model has also seen a change in the user interface with the simple square and clear label icons for the features replaced by ice-cube like icons that is much blurry when placed on a greyish background. However, then consumers enter the Netcast section, the color turns lively and bright with larger tile of icons and labels. The easy video browsing has been a trademark of LG but inserting input using the onscreen keyboard may make the experience a little bit taxing to the consumers.
All in all, the LG BD570 has come a long way in terms of audio decoding capabilities and with this Blu-ray player model, it offers onboard decoding for both DTS and high resolution Dolby with True HD. The LG BD570 is also compliant with DLNA and makes video, audio, photo streaming possible both from the PC as well as while connecting to the internet. However, the LG BD570 is not an upgradable model if consumers are looking to get the 3d Blu-ray playback as the feature is not supported.
