JVC has been one of the world’s leading brands when it comes to manufacturing consumer products for home, mobile, automotive, electronic devices and accessories. In high-definition camcorders, many enthusiasts believe JVC has done justice to produce the JVC Everio GZ-HD500 in their budget camcorder range. The price range of the JVC Everio GZ-HD500 is $60 to $100 cheaper compared to its competitors and a lot smaller and compact. The camcorder should be a great catch if you are looking to purchase camcorders around the $350 – $450 price range.
With issues surrounding the quality aspect of the HD video presentation and storage space in camcorders, the JVC Everio GZ-HD500 could help consumers fix that problem with reasonable battery life during recording and uses removable flash memory to maximize the space usage and back up the built-in 80GB HDD installed in the camcorder. The point and shoot feature has made the Everio GZ-HD500 the one you should buy if you are a beginner in shooting videos as it does not have complicated functions or buttons, with automatic aperture settings that you will not have to worry about.
The unique feature of the JVC Everio GZ-HD500 is it recording mode switches seamlessly when one of the built-in HDD memory or the external flash memory is full when you select to record with both type of memories. The battery life could run for about a day and a half if consumers use the 1080p recording. The plus on this budget camcorder can be seen in its face detection, image stabilizer and a high quality HD lens as well as the cool laser-touch screen controls on the Everio GZ-HD500’s 2.7 inch 123,000-dot LCD screen.
Similar to the other JVC camcorders, the Everio GZ-HD500 uses the same Konica Minolta HD Lens with a 20x optical zoom feature and up to 200x digital zooming for the consumer to utilize. What the advance image stabilizer does for the recording is it smoothes the hand shake while walking. The wide-angle image capture is four times larger than the other camcorders of its range, and added with Super Lolux technology, the JVC Everio GZ-HD500 fixes the previous camcorder models that did not perform good image capture in low light environment and still be able to preserve the environment’s natural colors.
The design of the JVC Everio GZ-HD500 is not a little bit short of amazing but the design does compliment the hand grip when the camcorder is held with the grip belt giving consumers great comfort during recording. The grip belt can be converted to a wrist strap after consumers are done with recording videos to function just like the wrist strap on regular digital cameras do. The JVC camcorder designers have really hit the sweet spot when they had the courtesy to include the one-touch Upload button to make it easier for consumers to upload videos directly to YouTube via the computer.

I got this camcorder for my kids they love it. Very easy to use and to upload video on the internet. I like the one push button to youtube and other great features.
